Designed for learners who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environment rather than assessing competence in a work environment.

Learners with little or no experience of teaching English. The aim is to develop the introductory knowledge and skills required to begin to teach English as a foreign language. The qualification develops learners’ knowledge of the English language and how to teach it; how to assess the needs of learners; preparing lesson plans and materials; identify resources and adapt to the needs of younger learners.

The Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF) provide learners with the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them work in the following roles; teaching assistant, classroom assistant, learning support assistant, additional needs assistant, pastoral/welfare support assistant, bilingual support assistant or foundation stage assistant.

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) is an introductory teaching qualification, which prepares learners for teaching or training in a wide range of contexts. It does not develop competence, as learners are not required to be in a teaching position. The qualification is suitable for individuals who wish to teach in the Further Education and Skills Sector and forms a foundation for those with little or no previous experience of teaching or training.

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) course is designed to give you the knowledge, confidence and license to teach in the post 16 sector 

The Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF) provide learners with the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them work in the following roles; teaching assistant, classroom assistant, learning support assistant, additional needs assistant, pastoral/welfare support assistant, bilingual support assistant or foundation stage assistant. The roles must be under the direction of the class teacher, whose lesson planning and day-to-day direction set the framework within which the individual works.

The Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) provides learners with the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and understanding to enable learners to perform the role of internal quality assurer

The Level 4 Certificate in leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) develops skills, knowledge and understanding to enable learners to lead a team of internal quality assurers.

This qualification is aimed at learners employed in a teaching assistant role who wish to progress to Higher Level Teaching Assistant status. The purpose is to develop learners’ knowledge, understanding and skills to enable them to address the challenges that they meet in their workplace. They will also develop an understanding of the knowledge required to support individuals and small groups and to support individuals with a range of additional needs.
